Miksi Early Access?

Our game began as a submission to a Game Jam in April 2020 (Ludum Dare 46), and ever since we have been constantly designing, developing and improving our product. We believe that Early Access allows dozens of games to be consistently improved via community feedback. Your thoughts about our game are integral and really help us to shape it into something that's fun, unique and engaging for us all.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

We plan to have our game in Early Access for 12-24 months.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

We plan to at least add more of the following:

- Relics
- Spells and Spell Schools
- Bosses
- Enemies
- NPCs
- Floors

With more ideas and features currently in the works.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

Most core features of the game are implemented, meaning the majority of the remaining work is adding a few remaining features, more content (spells/relics/floors) and polishing the existing features. The game is currently completely playable and contains many spells & relics as well as 2 floors complete with several bosses and enemies.

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

We have no plans to change the price over the course of development.

Miten yhteisö otetaan mukaan kehitysprosessiin?

Since we initially uploaded our game in Ludum Dare 46, we have actively listened to and used our community's thoughts on our game to improve many features as well as fix many bugs. We really believe that you as a player have so much to add in terms of aiding our development process and can't wait to hear some of your suggestions!

We also have a Discord where we hosted an Open Beta of our game, which has helped immensely in terms of development and understanding how our community feels. We have and will continue to listen to many reviews and suggestions in our Discord, and we always love to see what you think, so we can shape our game into something you, the player, can enjoy, and something we, the developers, can be proud of.

Abandoned Archive is a uniquely crafted, fast-paced, spellcasting roguelike. Set in an archive that has been long forgotten and sealed away, the player must venture deep below ground to uncover the dark secrets tucked away.

Spells & Relics



Discover the many schools of magic, and utilise their spells to fight your way down the tower you are sealed in. Battle with anything from lightning and air to gravity and time. Becoming powerful requires you to synergise your spells by carefully choosing upgrades and collecting rare relics that offer passive effects to be combined with your finest abilities.

Descend with Oblome



When one day you find yourself sealed in a tower, a strange, sentient Orb proposes a deal. With Oblome the Orbite, who claims to be one with science, you forge onwards in an attempt to escape your imprisonment and find the city of Orbites. Tied to your pact, you must protect Oblome at any cost if any danger arises, and in turn, he will protect you. There is definitely something stowed away, some kind of synthetic horror at the base of this archive. Will you delve deep and decipher the mysteries? Or will you simply succumb to your surroundings?

Story



Set in the country of Gratissia in the tower named “Turrim”, Abandoned Archive has the player exploring fragments of a species’ past, floor by floor. With an exiled ex-scientist as your guide and protector, there seems to just be many burning questions, with answers hiding in the cracks of the archive.
