Miksi Early Access?

Early Access will enable us to develop the game in a real world scenario whilst collecting valuable feedback from players. We want to create the best game possible for the players. Working side by side with the community seems to be the best possible way to achieve this goal. We aim to create a fun and engaging game and have our roadmap ready for the final release.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

We don't have a release date yet, but we plan to full release somewhere in 2024.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

We plan to release the EA version once we feel the game is both playable and enjoyable. Many of the core features will be implemented, but not a final representation. There will be regular patches and updates until the game is considered stable and feature rich enough for a full release. In the full release we aim to add more items and customization, more creatures and features, improved AI and systems, new mechanics, map additions, more quests and much more.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

The Early Access version does not fully represent the final version of the game, but has many of the core features already implemented and we welcome any feedback from players. We have focused on stability over content. We are gamers ourselves and we understand the frustration of bugs. The priority is to fix bugs before rolling out new content. The current state of the game changes regularly, please refer to the roadmap in the description to see which features are implemented or download our free demo for a preview!

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

The price is expected to rise upon full release.

Miten yhteisö otetaan mukaan kehitysprosessiin?

We plan to keep the community updated with our progress as the game develops. We encourage players to report bugs and make suggestions via the Steam forum or our social media channels.

MidEvil is a single player, multiplayer or co-op open world survival RPG that takes place in a vast 20km medieval island setting. Players start shipwrecked on the zombie infested island with nothing. The goals are simple, survive, build, defend!

Early Access planned features include:

  • Large stylized open world with day/night cycle and dynamic weather.
  • Host a server for your friends (up to 40 players).
  • Customizable modular characters, clothing and armour.
  • XP and skill point levelling system.
  • Hunger and thirst.
  • Loot economy with rare items.
  • Crafting, building, fortification and raiding.
  • Farming and horticulture system.
  • Animal breeding, taming and riding.
  • Hunting, fishing, wildlife and predators.
  • Rewarding combat system with melee, ranged and mounted combat.
  • PvP and PvE.
  • NPCs, zombies, bandits and guards.
  • Companion AI and pets.
  • Random quest system.
  • Dismemberment system.
  • AI guarded, civilized hubs for trading.
  • Controller support.
  • Steam Deck compatibility.
  • Steam achievements.

Future plans include many more additions such as ship building and siege weapons.


FREE DEMO

Download our free demo to test the current progress of the game. Please be aware that this is a very early preview of the game and everything is subject to change. The main goal is to test multiplayer performance and stability. We had a lot of fun testing so we thought we'd share it. We welcome any feedback or suggestions.

We do not intend to shy away from the everyday struggles endured by those living in medieval ages. They were dark and violent times and this will be reflected in the gameplay. This is also amplified by the inclusion of a zombie outbreak.
